Yes, these things really are strong. I made the mistake of hammering one into a log (I thought it was rotting, okay?) and could not for the life of me dislodge it. I snapped 3mm cord trying to pull it out, hammered it left and right, tried to hammer other DAC stakes in to rescue it. If you happen on site 129 at Candlebark in Lake Eildon you may see it there like a tiny little Excalibur. If you have the strength to pull it out, well good for you, you have a mighty little stake in your hands. Light and strong, I will get some more of these. Bonus points for being bright orange - helps you find them when packing up, and saves on stubbed toes.
