Description

The Petzl Duo Z2 is a powerful headlamp, perfect for rope access technicians, rescue operators, cavers, and those working in low light conditions. It runs on standard AA batteries, and offers flood, mixed, and focused beam profiles. Featuring a maximum output of 430 lumens in Boost Mode, the Duo Z2 offers plenty of light for all work environments. Petzl's constant lighting technology allows the Duo Z2 to provide consistent light output at the selected mode, without the output falloff common with recreational head torches. With an IP67 waterproof rating, and ATEX compliance for use in explosive environments, the Duo Z2 is an excellent choice for those working in hazardous condition and looking for a rugged, powerful headlamp. The included helmet mounts allow direct attachment of the Duo Z2 to Petzl Vertex and Alveo helmets.

The Duo Z2 is operated with a tactile rotating switch, to cycle through the 5 lighting modes. Notably, Petzl has integrated its Face2Face technology into its new range of high performance headlamps, including the Duo Z2. Face2Face is an auto-dimming feature, reducing the blinding effect for operators when the beams of two Duo headlamps cross each other. The reserve mode will output 10 lumens of light for one hour, allowing egress from the work site or for battery change. Weighing just 360 grams with batteries, the Duo Z2 is relatively lightweight for its output. The Duo Z2 headlamp runs for 2 hours and 45 minutes on a high focused beam, and up to 15 hours and 30 minutes with a lower power flood beam.
