The Happy Walk

Terra Lalirra is on a one woman walk around Australia to generate greater awareness of depression and prevent suicide through understanding, community support and discussion. Over 7 years Terra hopes to raise $1m for Lifeline Australia.

Terra is currently walking across the Nullarbor with the help of her Mont Moondance 1 Tent and Brindabella Sleeping Bag.

Walking On Ice - Mongolia Part One

March in Mongolia is late winter and my destination was a lake in northern Mongolia called Lake Khovsgol. This lake stretches north 135kms from the village of Khatgal to within 25kms of the Russian border. In the savage Mongolian winter, where temperatures can drop below -50°C, the surface of the whole lake freezes to a depth of approximately 1.1 metres.
