The Dragonfly is a robust all-season shelter for 2 or even 3 campers. Rated to withstand severe winter conditions but built with outstanding ventilation control, the Dragonfly is at home traversing alpine peaks in winter and all-weather camping in Spring, Summer and Autumn.
Named after the Mont Dragonfly Tent from the early 2000s, the Dragonfly is a testament to Mont’s long history of advanced tent design & manufacturing.
While rated as a 4 season alpine tent, the Dragonfly is also appropriate for spring, summer and autumn camping thanks to its excellent and versatile ventilation: two internally accessible ceiling vents, the flexible door system switches from mesh to full nylon and offers 1/4 to full fly openings for responsive ventilation for every season.
The 100% waterproof tub floor on the Dragonfly is made from a highly durable 70 denier Nylon with a market-leading 25,000mm+ WaterBloc™ PU lamination. Mont WaterBloc™ PU lamination is better than regular PU lamination and significantly better than PU coating. Mont WaterBloc™ PU lamination is far more waterproof, more durable, still ultra-lightweight, more resistant to chemical damage (sunscreen, fuel etc) and almost impervious to hydrolysis.
This Mont Tent has a 25,000mm+ WaterBloc™ waterhead Nylon floor for superior protection in wet weather. Many competitor tents have only a 2500mm waterhead and some as low as 1200mm! With waterhead ratings as low as these, the pressure of you sitting in your tent can cause water to soak through from the wet ground!

Mont laminated tent floors are more durable, more resistant to chemical damage (sunscreen, oils, insect repellent etc), and is almost impervious to hydrolysis. Hydrolysis is a permanent and irreparable de-lamination between the PU and the Nylon fabric; the floor is no longer waterproof.
Unlike some tents on the market, there is no need to seam-seal your new Mont tent. All Mont tents are sold seam-sealed, waterproof and ready for rain. A clear polyurethane seam sealing tape is applied using a specialist machine at an exact speed, pressure and temperature. Mont seam sealing is lightweight, durable and totally waterproof. Seam sealing is essential to make a tent waterproof.
