Retail Shop Manager

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Retail Shop Manager to lead our retail operations and ensure an exceptional customer experience across all channels. This hands-on leadership role is perfect for someone who thrives on the shop floor, builds strong teams, and understands the balance between product, people, and performance.

WHO YOU ARE

You are a customer‑focused retail leader who thrives in a hands‑on environment and enjoys developing others.

What we’re looking for...

Proven experience in retail management or senior supervision
A strong track record of leading teams and delivering results
Exceptional customer service and communication skills
Highly organised, with strong rostering and operational capability
Experience with POS/ERP systems and Microsoft Office
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales and inventory data
Experience with forward ordering and indenting processes
A genuine connection to the outdoors—practical outdoor retail experience is highly regarded
Solid understanding of retail compliance, security, and workplace safety

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Leading, developing, and inspiring a high-performing retail team
Delivering outstanding customer service in-store, over the phone, and via email
Driving sales performance and achieving targets during key trading periods
Managing staff rostering, including major events (Factory Sale, Black Friday)
Maintaining exceptional store presentation and operational standards
Overseeing stock management, forward ordering, and range specialisation
Managing returns, warranties, loyalty programs, and customer relationships
Ensuring compliance with retail legislation, OH&S, and internal policies
Handling POS operations, cash management, and reporting
