Description

The Helios Vest is the result of years of design refinement with meticulous attention to detail.

Built for alpine climbing, technical mountaineering and remote alpine camps, it is engineered for high-altitude conditions where warmth, weather protection and freedom of movement are essential.

At its core is 900+ loft white goose down in a box-walled construction for maximum thermal efficiency, protected by PFAS-free Hydronaute XT, Mont’s most breathable and weather-resistant shell fabric. Inside, a recycled nylon ripstop lining with XReflex™ radiant barrier technology reflects body heat back to the wearer, enhancing warmth without adding weight.

With complete freedom of arm movement, the Helios Vest provides uncompromising core warmth without unnecessary bulk, making it equally effective layered under a shell or worn alone in milder alpine weather.

From bitter wind chills to exposed ridgelines, the Helios Vest is tough enough for the most demanding environments and refined for precision in technical terrain.

WATER RESISTANT DOWN TREATMENT

All Mont Down Sleeping Bags come filled with premium down with a water resistant treatment called DWR Loft.

DWR Loft protects down from moisture and maintains loft in wet conditions Retains loft and warmth, greatly reduces drying time, extends the life of down garments or sleeping bags & improves resistance to bacteria growth.

THIS GARMENT IS PFAS FREE*

We are committed to removing all fluorocarbons (PFAS) from our Mont products. The construction of our shell wear membrane technology, Hydronaute, has never contained PFCs and our DWR coating that is applied to this shell wear is PFAS-free*.

This product is filled with Premium White Down with a loft rating of at least 900 cubic inches per ounce.

Mont's down is selected for it's high quality, purity and the fact that it is not live plucked.

 XReflex® mitigates the body’s natural heat loss by utilising our patented deposition process to apply ultra-thin, breathable radiant barrier surface coatings onto fabrics.

These radiant barrier surfaces reflect body heat, increasing heat retention to create thinner, lighter and warmer products.

Comfort in the Extreme: Using advanced monolithic PU membrane technology, Hydronaute XT fabric is completely waterproof, totally windproof & highly breathable. Guaranteed to maintain greater warmth & comfort than coated fabrics, Hydronaute XT is the best protection for down sleeping bags & clothing in cold to extreme conditions.

Keeping down dry is vital for optimal performance; wet down just won't keep you warm. Waterproof Hydronaute XT fabric provides exceptional moisture protection for down clothing & sleeping bags.

Highly Breathable: If not removed promptly, water vapour from your body will gather on down & reduce its ability to trap warmth.

Warmth Sealed In: With a 100% windproof rating, even Arctic blasts will not penetrate Hydronaute XT fabric, keeping warm air trapped inside.

BOX WALL BAFFLES

Box Wall Baffles are the warmest type of baffle for down sleeping bags.

Box Wall Baffles are three dimensional chambers that create maximum loft of down and uniform distribution throughout the sleeping bag.

Box Wall Baffles are in contrast to sewn through baffles, where the outer fabric is sewn directly to the inner fabric. Sewn through baffles are lighter and more compact but provide significantly less insulation.
