A frost rainbow over Pockets Hut and Mont Dragonfly Tent. By Mont staff member Jaxon Kneipp

Mont staff member Jaxon recently made a leisurely five day walk through Namadgi and Kosciuszko National Parks. Starting at Honeysuckle campground Jaxon and co. walked to and circumnavigated Bimberi Peak crossing from ACT to NSW and back again. Good regrowth, since the 2020 fires, was observed in Orroral Valley along with snowcaps on Bimberi Peak and Mount Murray. Though the highlight was a frost rainbow that appeared as frosted mist cleared on the morning of day three.

Jaxon's gear list included a Mont Dragonfly Tent, Escape 75L Pack, Guide Primaloft Hoodie, Grid Pro Hoodie, trusty Sun Hat and a water bladder that froze almost solid overnight at -6ºC.
