At Mont, we are committed to responsible production practices that prioritise ethical manufacturing, sustainability, and lasting quality. We work directly with manufacturers on the ground floor, overseeing the production of each piece of gear to ensure it meets our exacting standards. We actively partner with factories that uphold fair wages and low-waste production practices, ensuring that the people who make your gear are treated with respect. Wherever possible, we choose to work with factories certified to the Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP) standard, re inforcing our commitment to ethical manufacturing.
Our production team maintains strong, long-term relationships with our manufacturing partners, built on trust and mutual understanding. For decades we have worked with the same factories to produce our tents, shell and down wear. We have collaborated closely with our down supplier to ensure the highest quality and ethical sourcing. These relationships allow us to maintain exceptional quality control and accountability. Our team visits factories regularly—both during the sample phase and final production—to oversee quality checks and ensure our high standards are met.

Mindful Materials
For Mont down sleeping bags and garments manufactured before our RDS certification, we used down certified by the China Feather and Down Industrial Association (CFDIA), which also ensures responsible sourcing without live plucking or force-feeding. We remain committed to producing high-quality down products with integrity, ensuring ethical sourcing and superior performance in every piece we make.

Sustainability is central to our design and production process. We rigorously test all fabrics for durability and performance, selecting materials based on their suitability for each garment. Our focus on using recycled fabrics supports our commitment to reducing post-consumer waste, minimising our environmental footprint, and maintaining high performance.
