“Doug is amazing!! We went on a guided back country trip with Doug recently and are total converts thanks to his amazing knowledge of the Aus ranges...” Hiedi

“The 3 Peaks Tour with Snowy Mountains Backcountry was one of my best ever days in the mountains. The route which climbed Australia’s 3 highest peaks had great skinning, picturesque views of the Snowy Mountains and unforgettable descents.” Andrew

“Doug has an unsurpassed knowledge of and years of experience in our local back country mountain range. He is an excellent skier and has been a professional ski patroller for many years. More importantly he is good company. Could not recommend highly enough.” Julie

My Mont Dragonfly tent has withstood the ever-changing Tassie conditions on many an multi day hike. However I’d really like to improve on my backcountry skills, especially navigation and winter survival skills. SMBC would provide me the chance to experience a more isolated yet testing environment whilst further pushing my Mont gear to the limits!
