Returns & Exchange

We will happily refund, exchange or credit online orders, returned within 60 days (14 days for sale items) from date of order, providing the goods are unused, unworn and in as-new condition with all packaging intact.

Once the returned item has been received by the Mont warehouse and checked, a credit or refund will be processed to you within 1 week. If the item is to be exchanged then the new item will be dispatched within 1 week. If the original order qualified for free shipping, the replacement item will be shipped for free, if not we will be in touch to collect shipping payment.

How do I return an order?

  • Firstly fill out the Mont Returns Form. This form must be submitted regardless of method of return; postal, courier, in-person.
  • There is no need to include a returns form in the parcel. Please ensure your name and order or invoice number are written clearly on the parcel.

The cost of freight for returning the item to Mont is the senders responsibility. We recommend that returns are sent via registered post or a freight system that offers a tracking service as we do not accept responsibility for items lost in transit.

There are some circumstances where we do offer free returns.

These are for items that are either:

  • Faulty
  • Not as advertised
  • Arrived too late
  • Incorrect product was received.

If you receive a product from Mont and it falls into any of the above mentioned categories the cost of the return will be our responsibility. Simply contact our customer service team at CustomerService@mont.com.au and you will be provided with details for free postage to use for the return of the item.

In Person Drop Off Returns

Drop off returns are only available at the Mont Shop at 18 Pirie St Fyshwick between 10am and 5pm Monday to Friday.

Please fill in the Online Returns Form before dropping off your item.

Please clearly write your name and order or invoice number on the outside of the parcel. Please do not write on the item package or tags.

For exchange, we require at least 4 business hours to process the returned item and prepare the desired exchange item.

Please note that refunds may take up to 1 week to process. Thank you for your patience.

In Person returns are only available 10am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

The Online Returns Form must be submitted for In Person Drop Off Returns.

Items that cannot be returned

Under consumer protection laws there are several exceptions on the return of products:

  • Any load bearing climbing, rope access or safety equipment cannot be returned due to legal and safety requirements.
  • Underwear and thermals such as boxer shorts, briefs, sports bras and long johns cannot be exchanged due to health and hygiene regulations.


This return policy relates to the return procedures for products purchased from the Mont Adventure Equipment online store only. If you wish to return a Mont product purchased from a Mont retail stockist please return the item to the original place of purchase.
